Brian Lutz is a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio. A Cleveland State University graduate in 2012, Brian earned a Bachelor’s of Liberal Arts Degree with concentrations in History, Social Studies, Sociology, and Education. His career at Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio began in the fall of 2013 as Customer Service Representative. Brian moved into the Health Education and Outreach Department in the fall of 2014 as a part-time School Health Educator, delivering the Responsible Sexual Behavior program for Cleveland Metropolitan School District high school students. Brian was hired as a Community Health Educator in early 2015. Brian works on multiple programs within Cuyahoga County, including providing In-School Health Education, Outreach HIV testing, and coordinating a Peer Education program that is partnered with the LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland. Brian is a certified Get Real curriculum facilitator, Ohio Department of Health HIV Risk Reduction Counselor, and ADAMS Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Health certified PrEP Educator. Brian practices his education work by following the World Health Organization’s 2006 definition of sexual health, which states: “sexual health is more than the absence of disease or unplanned pregnancy; it also involves a positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having pleasurable and safe sexual experiences.”
