C. Benjamin Cooper helps people use the law to deal with life-changing harms. He is an attorney with Cooper & Elliott, and his practice focuses on wrongful death, civil rights, fraud, medical malpractice, and legal malpractice cases. Cooper received his B.A. and J.D. from the University of Virginia, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy & the Law. He began his career in the Washington, D.C. office of Hogan Lovells, and then clerked for the Honorable R. Guy Cole, Jr., Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. A strong believer in civil rights, Cooper co-founded Ohio’s first legal clinic for transgender people with Equitas Health and TransOhio.
