The 2016 Transforming Care: Midwest Conference on LGBTQ Health Equity and HIV/AIDS is proud to announce the 2016 Transforming Care Provider Fair. The provider fair will take place on October 21, 2016 from 11 am – 1 pm at The Ohio State University Fawcett Center.

The purpose of the provider fair is to connect HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ identified community members with health and social service providers who offer HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ centered care. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with providers, obtain health and wellness screenings and referrals.

Featured Providers

Columbus Public Health provides alcohol and other drug treatment designed to meet the needs of the LGBTQ community that focuses on empowerment and hope. Our services offered include individualized treatment planning, assessments, and individual and group counseling. We also provide HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea testing.
The Columbus Veteran Affairs is proud to have an LGBT program. We offer services to assist with discharge status upgrades, transgender health, mental health, as well as primary care.
Equitas Health provides diverse healthcare and social services focused around: primary and specialized medical care, behavioral health, HIV/STI prevention, advocacy, and community health initiatives.  They will be providing oral health kits and providing information about new services like dental services and trans health.
Local Matters provides information on Local Matters programming, pay-what-you can nutrition and cooking classes and will demo simple, healthful and budget friendly recipes.
Mateyko & Associates provides mental health and alcohol and drug therapy to individuals and families. We focus on the LGBTQ community, providing services that are much needed for this community.
The National Association of Free Clinics provides  free or low-cost medical, dental and primary care to low-income, underserved, uninsured, or underinsured individuals.
National Youth Advocate Program provides behavioral health counseling services and LGBTQ support services for teens and families along with Foster Home recruitment services and support.
Nationwide Children’s Hospital provides sexual health education and testing.
The Ohio State University will be providing information about  transgender-related services and OB/GYN care as pertains to LGBT patients and families.
Positive Women’s Network USA works to combat HIV related stigma and demonstrats that  HIV postive women are part of the solution. We train and support HIV postive women as leaders, create and share tools for women and HIV advocates,and mobilize for strategic campaigns.
Ellen is a licensed Social Worker and has been working with people to help them move efficiently and effectively toward their goal of being Happy No Matter What during and despite trying times in their lives.
Serenity Behavioral Health Services  provides Outpatient Mental Health Counseling services in Central Ohio, specializing in LGBTQ individuals.
Southeast, Inc. is a comprehensive provider of mental health, chemical dependency, healthcare, and homeless services assisting diverse populations regardless of their economic status.
 Syntero provides information and referrals to programs related to mental health & substance abuse prevention & treatment, sexual health prevention.
The Ohio State University Wexner Medica Center will provide information about HIV research opportunities available to anyone living with HIV interested in helping  them find the way to a cure.
